Romans 1:16-17
It is clear biblical teaching that sinners should be ashamed of their sins. The world hates the Gospel causing many Christians to be ashamed of Christ. Then we read Paul’s announcement, “I am not ashamed of the Gospel.” It is a matter of faith. Paul was hated, stoned, imprisoned, and beheaded because he boldly preached, “The righteous shall live by faith.”

He was greatly used by God for the salvation of lost sinners and the strengthening of the church…a messenger of the Gospel.

Our gracious and compassionate God takes special note of His people who are oppressed and afflicted. He promised, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Naomi returned to Judah filled with bitterness because of the calamity she had endured and Ruth, her Moabite daughter-in-law, went with her.
