The key word to look for in this chapter is “favor.” Naomi and Ruth were in
great need. God in His great sovereignty gave Ruth favor with Boaz, and he
blessed them. Our gracious and compassionate God takes special note of His
people who are oppressed and afflicted. He promised, “I will never leave
you nor forsake you.”
